Prayer for clarity in the chaos

Covering too many bases these days? Lots of fires to put out? Or maybe you have complex, long-term responsibilities piling up.
One of the reasons you might feel overwhelmed (besides having tons to do) could be due to scattered thoughts. You mind bounces around trying to solve too many things at once, and it’s exhausting.
God is not only the creator of life, he’s also the organizer of your life. Ask him to bring his order to your thoughts. This allows you to stay focused and save energy.
Cry out to the Lord. Show him how hard it is for you. Let him reveal to you a more heavenly way to see things. Be lifted up by the Spirit of God. He will give you calm and strength to continue.
Do it all for our Lord Jesus Christ. Do it all for love.

O merciful Lord,
So many tasks & worries, everything pulls at me, pushing me past my limits. I feel an explosion inside. How much more can I take?
Call me back to you, O Lord. Bring me out the wilderness, away from the chaos. Even during a storm Jesus slept, as he knew his Father loved him.
So even now, as I feel completely overwhelmed, may your Word guide me. May your Spirit give me clarity and strength.
In Jesus name, cast out the enemy far from me.
You see me as I am, O Lord. I wait and rest in you. This moment too shall pass, but your love is eternal, your Kingdom everlasting.
May I rest with Jesus in the loving arms of our Father, in thy Kingdom come.

When you face a tough decision, sometimes the right choice is the hard choice. Sometimes it’s much harder. Still, if you compromise your values, it’s never without consequences.
The Christian life is counter-cultural. You might sometimes be seen as odd for doing things “the hard way.” But how much is it worth to sleep well at night knowing you’ve gone the extra mile to do the right thing?
Even if you’ve been making moral compromises for a while, it’s never too late to turn things around. It doesn’t have to happen all at once. Take a step in the right direction. Take a stand. Ask God to back you up. And walk the walk of Christ. It’s the walk that leads to life.

O heavenly Lord,
I feel like I’m being torn apart. I know what’s right, but it won’t be easy. Not at all. I admit it. I’m afraid. Won’t you help me?
Reveal to me, O Lord, your way. Show me the firm, solid path. It may not be easy, but it’s where Jesus walks. He’s right there next to me. And when the climb gets steep my Lord will lift me. Carry me. For this weak and fragile soul can’t do it alone.
I trust and lean on you. Build my courage to face the day. Let it not fill me with pride, instead may I be humbled knowing that in some small way I imitate Christ.
My Lord Jesus held nothing back as it was all for love. May I too go to the cross, be driven by love, and give glory to God.

Feeling broken or worn out? Many of us are these days. Part of this is because we lack a sense of security. Lots of people claim to be able to give us peace, but in the end we still feel uneasy.
The pressure of the world, our wounds, and our mistakes can all bring us down hard. The struggle to get back up again is not easy. Are you trying to do it all by yourself?
God’s way of restoring you is truly incredible. Things might not change on the outside, but on the inside it can be fresh and new. His Holy Spirit reveals a different way to see your reality. It’s not about resting in a fantasy or something temporary. Instead, it’s gaining understanding about eternal truths.
You are loved by God. Go to him and be made new again.

O blessed Lord,
I don’t want to be fooled or distracted. The world offers me peace & security, but it can’t.
Tell it to my soul again, O Lord: All I need is Jesus.
Show me once again how much you loved me that you gave me your Son. Your only Son. Innocent. Holy.
Faithful Christ almighty.
Reveal to my heart again a love so deep and strong that it casts out all fear & doubt. It’s not about an easy life, no. It’s about my soul safe with God no matter what may come.
So I’ll lift my head and do my best. And even if my best isn’t good enough you’re there for me. You’ll pick up the broken pieces.
Even broken, in Christ I rise up. I am a beloved child of God. He makes me new again.

Whether it’s caring for your family, loved ones, or someone in need–many have been called to a greater responsibility. But it’s not easy is it? Where do you find your nourishment and strength?
To be able to give a lot, you must receive more. Only one source has no limit of goodness and grace for you. Return to the Lord. Rest in him. Be made strong and ready to keep going… no matter what it takes.

O merciful Lord,

You whisper to my heart the secrets of your kingdom. Your innocent Son reveals God to me.
Nothing in this world can satisfy or save me. Only Christ can set me free.
Help me to lift my cross again. Boldly. Courageously. Humbly.
