It’s harder than ever to be confident these days. We live in such an unpredictable world. Where can you find security and stability?
If you seek inner peace in people or circumstances, eventually you’ll be let down. No person or situation is perfect. And nobody is 100% self-sufficient.
When everything else is stripped away, and all recognizable structures begin to crumble… it’s time to return to the Lord. If you go to him, trusting with all your heart, you will discover a heavenly, supernatural confidence.
Immerse yourself in his Word and his truths. Be united with your church community. Go back to your Creator and regain what was lost. Find your strength again in Christ.

O merciful Lord,
You know me and see me. You can read my heart. Things are changing so fast. Nothing is stable or secure.
Help me, O Lord, to regain my trust & confidence. As the world trembles in fear, I am shown again & again, no lasting security comes from the promises of man.
Only One was willing to go to the cross for me. Only One shed his blood to save my soul & set me free. Only One was innocent and faithful to the end.
Against all the chaos & conflict I have only one thing: my faith in Christ Jesus.
His love drives out all fear. God’s Kingdom brings order to my mind, heart & soul.
Against all odds, Jesus lives. Against all odds, I am at home.
Nothing can separate me from the love of God.

True love loves to grow & share. Get & give more. There’s plenty.
We love because he first loved us. (1 John 4:19)
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength… Love your neighbor as yourself. (Mark 12:30-31)
What are the most important roles in your life? When you feel stretched thin or lost, go back to these. Reevaluate how you cultivate and nourish these roles.
The key is in the relationships. Just like Jesus spent quality time with his Father, we too must invest quality time in our relationships–with God and with others.
Reestablish your core roles and bring order to your life. It brings calm to the storm. It also helps you see if you’re neglecting someone.
Go back. Return to the roles and relationships that matter. Nothing is more important.

O blessed Lord,
I’m feeling pulled apart. Too many voices distract and demand my attention. Return me to my center, O Lord. Bring me back to Christ.
In the name of Jesus, I reject the lies of the enemy trying to break my relationships. Place in me, O Lord, a loyal heart. Like Jesus, make me faithful & brave.
Show me how to find rest in my identity as a child of God. There I am complete. There I am solid and strong.
Establish your Kingdom within me. Show me my true responsibilities in every aspect of service and love.
Times are tough now, but your promises are eternal. God’s Word is the final word. Lift me up again, O Lord, and send me to proclaim your truth.

There are so many broken hearts these days. There’s so much anger, pain, and sorrow. Where can you find strength again?
The strong, fierce heart is not a hard heart of stone. Instead, it’s open and ready to give. To love. True fierceness in the Lord follows the example of Jesus Christ. And those who have been given much, will love much. Those who have tasted God’s abundant grace will not be afraid. Stand firm and look forward to the coming dawn.

O merciful Lord,
I’m struggling right now. I hurt inside, but I can’t stop. Life moves on. Many depend on me. What happens if I crumble? What happens if I fail?
Your promises are eternal, O Lord. Sometimes with my head I don’t get it. I get scared. But my heart knows full well as the heart cannot deny a love so pure as the love of my Lord.
With you, I know I’ll move ahead. Sometimes I’ll stumble, even fall. But you’ll fill in the gaps. You’ll lift me up off the floor and give me rest in the sacred wounds of Christ.
Beyond my faults & fragility, give me a fierce heart, O Lord. A heart broken open long ago to let you in. A heart that clings to you with all it’s might. Never letting go of hope. Never giving up on love.

Go. Find them. They are closer than you think. Someone is having a tough time right now.
Pray for them faithfully, but don’t stop there. Lift them up. Be a friend and helper too.

O loving Lord,
The world hurts so much now. The desire for power is inflamed more than ever. And the poor & meek suffer, now more than ever. What can be done, O Lord?
Reveal once again to my heart when Jesus came to me. It was when I was broken, wounded and ashamed. Your loving mercy broke open my heart, and your Spirit rushed in.
Let me remember how I was powerless to save myself. But you restored me. You lifted me up.
Pour out your restoration, O Lord. Send your Holy Spirit in abundance. The poor, the meek, and those who mourn, draw them closer to Christ.
Pour out your mercy, send us your grace. We’re all broken and need healing. We all need a Savior. We all need you, O Lord.
