Prayer to remain ready

Unpredictable events can occur at any time. Still, you can be ready by having more order in your life. This is one of the ways God establishes his kingdom — by keeping your heart and your head clear. If you live in an organized way, then any crisis is easier to handle.

When you pray, let God show you how and where things are going. He reminds you of issues you should take care of.  He also shows you places you might be able to leave behind. Don’t let your pride get in the way. Instead, be careful not to overstep your boundaries or occupy a space meant for others. You don’t need the extra stress either.

Pray about important events coming up in the near and far future. This helps you prepare in a practical and spiritual way. And finally, ask him to keep you ready to share the Gospel with others. Let God use you to grow his glorious kingdom.

A message and prayer from Vincent:

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that in due time he may exalt you. Cast all your anxieties on him, for he cares about you. Be sober, be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking some one to devour. Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experience of suffering is required of your brotherhood throughout the world. And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, establish, and strengthenyou. To him be the dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

1 Peter 5:6-11
