Prayer for when you are tired

Feeling worn out? These days it’s all too common to feel run down and overwhelmed. Life is filled with activity, responsibility… and problems. Sometimes you can’t change your circumstances. So what can you do?

In times of mental and physical fatigue, it’s hard to pray. Still, if you make the effort, time spent with God restores you. You might not have tons of energy, but your soul will be more at ease. And that’s a huge benefit. Peace with God helps keep you going, even despite the demands of life.

In Christ, your soul can rest. Let this truth take hold of your heart. Rest in the loving arms of the Lord.

You, God, are my God,
earnestly I seek you;
I thirst for you,
my whole being longs for you,
in a dry and parched land
where there is no water.

Psalm 63:1

And behold, a woman of the city, who was a sinner, when she learned that he was at table in the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster flask of ointment, and standing behind him at his feet, weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears, and wiped them with the hair of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.

Luke 7:37-38

  1. THank you. I was not being fervent or faithful in prayer and it was hurting me. Then I laid in bed and the Holy Spirit reminded me o stay close to God in prayer and sing to Him and recall scripture to mind before HIM. Imagine the peace; as though I could touch it.
    God loves me. Salvation is all in Him. All Grace and so is living in Him. He keeps. He provides. We have love, joy, a sure hope and peace, strength and Spirit given gifts to serve Him and share Jesus with others.
    Thank you for the encouragement. God bless your ministry.
