Prayer for the prayer warrior

What does it mean to be a prayer warrior? It’s not about heroics, and it’s not about showing off either. A prayer warrior is someone who has been broken and restored to health by God.

Jesus was the greatest prayer warrior of all time. We must follow his example and emphasis of prayer. We might have a different focus from time to time, but the essence of how Christ prayed should be the same. His priority was always about relationships–with his Father, with his Biblical time disciples, and with his Body now.

Remember, spiritual combat is much more than just praying forcefully against evil. It’s also about your life testimony–in public and in private. The Spirit wins victories in every area of your life. Trust in this process and fight the good fight.

A special shout-out to all the prayer warriors who contribute faithfully to this site. Jan, Jean, Colin, Suzanne, Boni, and Mia… may God pour out his abundant grace and blessings over you all. Thank you!

Please support this site.

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

2 Timothy 1:7

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

Ephesians 6:10-18

PRAYER FOR THE PRAYER WARRIOR

O heavenly Lord,

Here I am in your presence. I am your faithful servant. You saved my life & soul forever with your love.

I invoke your Holy Spirit, O Lord. In the name of my Savior Jesus, I call out to the Father. Rise up, O Lord! Rise up!

Give me strength & clarity in Christ. May the blood of the Lamb protect me, my family and my community. Send your mighty Spirit to drive the enemy far into the abyss.

Unify your Church, O Lord. One Body. One Blood. One Spirit. Reach out to us, transform us. May we testify to Christ resurrected from whom all good things come.

Pour out your abundant grace to go forward to renew & save. Heal the wounded. Free the slaves. Let them taste of your goodness. May many come and kneel at the throne of the Son of God to give him glory, honor & praise.

All according to your holy will,

In Jesus name,

Amen.

  1. Dear Vincent, thank you so much for your prayers, I just wanted to keep you posted as to how Sean is. He ended up having a psychotic break after that half of prescription pill I gave him for insomnia. I had no choice but to commit him to the psych unit. for almost 5 days where he was put on anxiety meds twice a day and antipsychotic med once at night. He never went back on the antipsychotic pill & is now weaning off his anxiety pills to once a day. However he keeps saying his anhedonia is much much worse since he took the meds at the clinic. But its been over 25 days since he took it and I told him it does not make permanent change once you stopped it. Also he only took 4-5 pills one time. I told him we had no choice because the half of pill from his prescription caused his depression to get worse. I believe this is a satanic stronghold. He is no longer functioning and continues to moan with every breath I tried everything. I got him two sessions a week with a therapist from a church he had one so far. But he still believes the drugs ruined him and he will never be the same. He has repented and is truly sorry for taking a drug back in Dec, Jan & Feb which started this whole mess. But I’m not sure he truly believes or has much faith. He said he had faith before the pills but now has none. I greatly appreciate your prayers. P.S can you please put Seans name on a prayer list at church? Thank you so very much and May God Bless you and your family.

    • Thank you for the update Gina. I will continue to pray for Sean and for you. Keep waiting on the Lord. He will eventually send his blessings and healing. Be patient with your son. Sometimes just listening to him is enough. Stay by his side as his mom with loving support. And let the Spirit work things out.

And yes, I will add Sean to our prayer group list.

God’s grace, blessings, healing, peace and protection to you and Sean!

  2. Dear Vincent: Just wanted to tell you that I had to admit my son Sean to impatient psych ward. That one half pill I gave him for sleep caused him to have adverse reactions making
his anhedonia worse and he said he cannot even cry and then began having suicidal thoughts.
Bottle said 1-2 at night 50-100 mg I gave just 25 mg which Drs say they give to children under 18 for insomnia. Every drug has side effects and even though we are anti drug, he had
not slept much in over 2 months. So I was just going to give him a half once so he could get
get out of his delirium. Drs told me it was just a side effect, but he didnt come back! Im heart broken and feel so stupid that I caused his condition to get worse, We dropped him off last nite he was screaming No why did I take that pill! Why did you give it to me? Drs say its mainly for insomnia and start with 150 mg a night to 300 mg that it would not have any effect on anhedonia. I never seen like this. Please tell me God will bring my son back to me. Thank you very much for your prayers if you could put my on a intersserory prayer list I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you & God Bless you. Gina

    • Dear Gina… I’m so sorry to hear about what happened. You must be devastated. But there’s no way you could have known this was going to happen. And maybe it wasn’t the medication at all. It could be your son was suffering from something and this would have happened eventually either way. Please don’t beat yourself up. You gave him something prescribed by a doctor. It’s not your fault at all.

I will keep praying for Sean and for you! And I will ask others to pray for him too.
