Prayer to restore your motivation

Crisis, conflict, and lockdowns can crush your motivation. Even though things might be tougher than ever, you don’t have to let it get the best of you.

Instead of feeling trapped with no hope, look deep inside. God’s Spirit gives us an unlimited source of inspiration. Not even the death of God’s Son could stop it. Nothing can stop the love of God. Instead, Christ rises up, again and again, victorious in glory.

So lift your head. Dig in and dig yourself out of the apathy or negativity. Ask God to help you. He will give you all the strength and courage you need.

“The Spirit of the Lord is on me,
because he has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners
and recovery of sight for the blind,
to set the oppressed free,
to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”

Luke 4:18-19

but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength,
they shall mount up with wings like eagles,
they shall run and not be weary,
they shall walk and not faint.

Isaiah 40:31

PRAYER TO RESTORE YOUR MOTIVATION

O merciful Lord,

the world suffers and people live in fear or rage. And the enemy tries to make me lose all hope. Won’t you help me, O Lord?

Show me the clear way of Christ. He came to free the spirit and return hope to the fallen. Reveal to me again, O Lord, how even the smallest task can be made holy.

In the name of Jesus, cast out the liar that says all is lost. Let me hear the voice of the one true God who tells me,

“Beloved, have courage. Live life fully, in any situation for my Spirit goes with you. See Jesus on the cross for you. See how he loves. Go now and love. There is no greater purpose and nothing can stop my mission of love.”

Press your Word into me, O Lord, make it real. Give me fresh wings to glorify your holy name.

In Jesus name,

Amen
