Do you find it hard to be patient? Who doesn’t? If you find it difficult to be patient with others, remember how God was patient with you. Unless you are perfect, try to understand that we all need help and salvation. That makes us all equal.
If you have trouble with waiting for a situation to change, find rest in God. Trust in his timing and his plans. He knows what he’s doing, right?
Finally, if you find it hard to be patient with yourself, focus on God’s love for you. You are his child, so he will wait for you. Let his loving patience be a source of nourishment that feeds your change.
Ask God to be able to trust more in him and less in yourself. Let his patience and kindness transform you to be more like Jesus.

PRAYER FOR TRUE PATIENCE
Oh merciful Lord,
Why is it so hard for me to be patient and wait? Help me, O Lord, show me. Bring calm to my heart.
Your peace comes to me by the blood of the cross of Christ. Conform me, O Lord, to the truth of this mystery. By the wounds of my Savior I am free, I am healed. Let me rest there first, O Lord.
Then teach me and mold me to be more patient with people and circumstances and with myself. Pour out your grace over me. May your Spirit be my guide.
I can’t do it alone, O Lord, so I humbly ask you, give me patience. Grant me your peace.
May it glorify you in heaven, and may my soul rejoice.
In the name of Jesus,
Amen.
