Are you facing a big life challenge right now? Some challenges can be exciting while others might not be wanted at all. In any case, you might be doubting if you can rise to the challenge.

When facing a something new and difficult, look to the example of Jesus. He was always seeking the presence and will of his Father. Even if things were tough, he knew his Father was in control. Jesus trusted in God’s will to the end. It was difficult, painful, and bloody – but Jesus remained faithful even to his death. In the end, the results were glorious. It was the opportunity for all humankind to be at peace with God.

Let the example of Christ give you the right perspective and attitude to face any challenge. God is with you. Do not be afraid. Accept your limitations, but also know, with God, all things are possible.

PRAYER FOR CHALLENGING TIMES

Oh blessed Lord,

A challenge arises before me here, now, and I know I need you. So I cry out.

Come, oh mighty Lord, rise up! Cast out all lies, calm my fear. Pour out your Spirit over me. Prepare me for the task.

Remind me how your power and grace came to save my soul. Reveal again to my heart your wise teaching and your tender love.

May the Servant Master, Christ Jesus be my guide. Confident in obedience, worshiping in Spirit and truth, seeking the will of my Father.

No matter what comes, no matter how difficult, may I stand firm upon Christ,

Ready for the challenge, for the honor and glory of Almighty God.
