Are you facing uncertainty? Not sure what choice to make? Or maybe you are confused about a situation. Can God give you an answer? Of course he can.

During moments of decision, take the time to consult with God. Ask him about anything and be patient. Then when he gives you an answer, the blessing’s baked in. Also, it’s important to be spiritually prepared for what God decides to show you.

Consultations with God may take time. This is one way he molds your relationship with him. You might want to keep notes about what the Spirit shows you while you pray — even if it seems like it has nothing to do with your question. Also, mark down Bible verses that speak to you during this time of discernment.

When the Lord decides you are ready, he will reveal his answers to you. In many cases, he responds to questions you weren’t asking about specifically — but they make a huge impact in your walk of faith. So ask anything. And get closer to the Lord.

Oh blessed Lord,

I have doubts, questions. I seek answers, so I seek your presence now.

Prepare me first, oh Lord. Grant me your peace that I may be ready for what you reveal to me.

Cleanse me of any selfishness. Free me of all deceit.

Oh merciful Lord,

I feel you far, absent. Where’s your love?

Oh heavenly Lord,

Feeling down and out? Sometimes the daily grind leaves you with a lights-out feeling. The enemy wants to isolate you and bring you down, but God wants to set you free. Why not get a spiritual jump start?

Getting renewed doesn’t mean you have to be more religious. Instead, it means digging deeper into relationships. First, with Jesus, then with others. So seek activity where you will interact with people and grow. Join a group, get outside, anything… but move forward.

Even if you don’t have much time, you can still be creative. For instance, instead of the same old dinner routine, why not eat by candle-light? Or rather than browsing on your phone, give a friend a surprise call and set up time for coffee. Even small gestures can make a difference. So stop, pray and ask God to open up your creative side. You might be surprised what you discover inside you!

Oh merciful Lord,

I feel like I’m stuck, nothing motivates me, everything’s the same. Where is my joy?

Help me change, oh Lord, bring Christ closer to me. He shows me how to see with new eyes and a new heart the wonders you give me.

Let it begin with people, with those I encounter at home and in new places where I can share your Gospel and your love.

Renew my perspective. Show me the fresh brilliance of your glory, oh Lord, in everything everywhere.

Who doesn’t want to think more clearly? Some of the things today that cause poor concentration are not enough sleep, lack of exercise and too much time on devices.

Still, sometimes life is just full of responsibility you can’t avoid. In every situation, your intimacy with God makes a difference. When you stop to pray, God helps to organize your thoughts. He even reminds you of things you might have forgotten about. Also, as you pray for upcoming events, the Spirit prepares you to deal with them.

Finally, the closer you are to Jesus, the more confidence you have. In the end, prayer can actually save you time. It enables you to make decisions faster, and it invokes the Spirit to move.

So seek God’s Kingdom. Let the Lord take care of the heavy lifting.

Oh loving Lord,

We can all benefit from stronger faith, but how do you get it? You don’t have to be a hero. Instead, the sincerity of your heart matters. If you’re looking for easy or magical solutions, you won’t strengthen your faith.

To be strong, you have to eat healthy. The food Jesus fed upon was the will of his Father. God wants us to love, forgive and serve, and Jesus is our example. If you do your best to follow him, there is no doubt your faith will grow stronger.

In today’s world, spirituality has become a commodity. Everybody is offering spirituality-in-a-box. So we encounter a lot of tips, tricks, methods and quick solutions. The great mystery to spiritual growth might be that it’s not so much of a mystery at all. It’s simply recognizing God is in action at all times.

The most important part of spiritual growth isn’t special knowledge. A humble and willing attitude is all you need. God doesn’t want a change of conduct. Instead, he wants to change your heart.

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of truth. He motivates you to get to know Jesus more. This relationship produces blessings in your life for yourself and others. As truth of the resurrection conquers your heart and mind, you give up more control to God. In his hands, your spirit soars free.

Oh blessed Lord,

I seek your presence now. Let me hear your voice. Speak to my heart.

Show me how to be open to receive your Word. Help me, oh Lord, to grow in your Spirit of truth.

Guide me to understand people and situations. Show me your hand at work everywhere, always.

Let me know Jesus. May I receive his mercy, his teaching, his love. And may my life produce the good fruit of his Spirit.

Go back to the bedrock of your faith. Remember who Jesus is and what he has done for you. Remember who he is — the Son of God — your Savior. Seek shelter in his grace to give you calm and guide your actions.

You won’t find absolute rest in how people treat you or react. A situation won’t give you lasting comfort. Instead, trust in the owner and giver of true peace. After the storm passes, there will be fallen tress and debris, but your faith will remain. It will grow deeper and stronger. Trust in this process.

Oh loving Lord,

The wind and rain come down fast and hard, clouds darken against me. Won’t you help me?

Even though we all want to be free, sometimes we forget about a crucial question about freedom. If you are free, what do you do with your freedom? If you could do whatever you want, what would you do? Our answers sometimes reveal that our inner struggles are really what keep us enslaved.

The liberty we find in Christ isn’t the kind of freedom the world tries to sell us. It’s not about power or temporary pleasures. Instead, it’s about a deep trust in our Creator. It’s the security of knowing that even though you’ve made mistakes, you are forgiven 100%. You can start again as the Lord makes all things new.

Remember, your freedom came at great cost. So use your freedom to spread love and mercy. Use it to show others they can be free too.
