A particularly powerful load of bricks on my mind for our modern times.
We’re all finding it difficult to stay steady these days. There’s just too much to worry about it seems, right? Well it might be time to dial down your focus. It’s not that you don’t care, but you can’t fix all the problems of this world.
Refocus on what you can change. Place your attention where it’s needed most. Your family, work, church, and friendships. Don’t withdraw from and neglect these spaces. If you’re feeling hopeless and helpless, know that in these core areas you can make a huge impact.
If you’re confused and seeking truth, go back to the Gospel. Nourish yourself with the truth that speaks to your heart. Jesus died for you. He forgives you and loves you. He rose from the dead. Christ will come again. Believe. Trust. Be solid and move forward.
You can do it! God will help you!

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and whoever lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?” She said to him, “Yes, Lord; I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, he who is coming into the world.”
John 11:25-27
Be strong and of good courage, do not fear or be in dread of them: for it is the Lord your God who goes with you; he will not fail you or forsake you.”
Deuteronomy 31:6
Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life; and we have believed, and have come to know, that you are the Holy One of God.”
John 6:68-69

O merciful Lord,
Life was already hard enough and now there’s much more trouble. The world is in such turmoil. What can I do, O Lord? Where can I go?
Rise up, O Lord, rise up! In the name of Jesus Christ strike down the evil one with your mighty hand. Free me from my worry & fear.
Show me again, O Lord, as you have so many times, that your Spirit guides me to face even the toughest trial. Give me courage & clarity. May my faith and hope shine even more intensely as Jesus Christ is forever my King.
Every moment, every task lived in faith is a victory. Keep me steady, keep me sharp. By your Spirit I remain solid. Upon your Word, I stand firm. I will not be moved from the Rock that is Jesus Christ my Lord.
In Jesus name I pray,
Amen.

Action and inaction are choices. Each one comes with benefits and consequences. It’s up to you to decide.
In good times and bad, we can be thankful. This might be the secret to happiness. If you remain thankful to God — even when times are tough — it gives you a healthy perspective. Thankfulness frees you of a lot of negativity that can cloud your thinking.
Even in the worst situations, the grace of God can reveal to you reasons to be thankful. Seek the Lord and you will find purpose and meaning to any circumstance. And you will find the strength to persevere.
If you have been blessed with abundance, share the blessing with others. Spread forward the generosity God has given you. May your kindness help build the Kingdom of Heaven.

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. Let all men know your forbearance. The Lord is at hand. Have no anxiety about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will keep your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:4-7
But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.
Matthew 19:26
O blessed Lord,
You revealed to my heart your teachings. You give me strength I never knew I had. You lifted up this broken child and put me on my feet.
Your peace pours out over me from the sacred wounds of Christ. And when the enemy rises up, you cast him out far from me.
For all this and more I thank you, O loving Lord. Your abundant grace & mercy fill my heart with joy. You are so good to me.
In the Lord Jesus Christ I find the deepest meaning. I know that I am loved. And with your Spirit alive in me I can love others more & more.
This world may be in turmoil, but I know for sure who I am. I am your child, forever free, in the grace of God I am home.
Thank you blessed Lord, for my life and for your love.
In Jesus name,
Amen.
