Prayer for renewal

Getting tired of the same old routine? Feeling like nothing inspires you anymore? Believe it or not, this feeling might be a good thing. Why? It might be God’s way of telling you it’s time for a change.

Maybe you need to begin a new activity. Why not join a group, take up a new service or volunteer work, or finish that project you’ve had on your mind? Make the time and take the plunge. You can do it if you try!

Remember though, God’s project is you. It’s your relationship with Jesus. So as you move forward in the new, let the Lord breathe fresh life into your spiritual walk. Build all things upon your walk with the Lord, and let his grace shine in your life.

Prayer for renewal

Audio message and prayer from Vincent:

Has this site blessed you? Learn about our patron program.

He told them this parable: “No one tears a piece out of a new garment to patch an old one. Otherwise, they will have torn the new garment, and the patch from the new will not match the old. And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the new wine will burst the skins; the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined. No, new wine must be poured into new wineskins.

Luke 5:36-38

Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that you may prove what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

Romans 12:2

PRAYER FOR RENEWAL

O merciful Lord,

I’ve been feeling a bit empty and far from you. I’m weary from the struggle.

Renew me, O Lord, help me.

May I be the new wine in new wineskins.

May I be the fresh page upon which you write.

I seek a more spacious place in my walk with you.

Break down the old in me, the hardness, and build up the new in you.

Bring me to a deeper place of rest, where your power and Spirit make room so I can breathe.

Show me how it happens when I surrender myself to you.

May I rejoice with a strong heart. Give me a clear voice to speak God’s love to all.

I’m not there yet, O Lord, but I want to go.

Take me there with you. Renew me. Set me free.

In Jesus name,

Amen.
