Prayer to cast out the lies of the enemy

We all blow things out of proportion at times. It could be because you are tired or overworked. Or maybe you have deeper issues that need to be resolved. Whatever the reason, in many cases, the enemy is part of the problem.

What does the enemy do? He tells you lies that even the smallest inconvenience is the end of the world. Another lie he tells you is that everything revolves around you and your schedule. So take yourself out of the center of the universe. There is only one innocent and faithful enough to be there.

When we return to Jesus, our perspective changes. We realize how much we have been given. We begin to be more thankful. We understand that we can forgive and be forgiven. The Holy Spirit shows us the clear dimensions of a problem and the right way to handle them.

Pray for the enemy to be cast out

The prayer for liberation can be intense. Always invoke the name of Jesus during this kind of prayer. It is serious spiritual combat, and you want our leader King to be in control of the fight.

Then, when the turmoil fades, rest in his peace. Rise up and keep going. Know that the Lord goes with you.

Prayer to cast out the lies of the enemy (regular text)

Oh heavenly Lord,

The enemy rises up like a river against me. I have problems and trials. Some are tremendous. And the demon wraps me up and tangles me in my thoughts.

He wants me to be afraid.

Do not let this happen, oh Lord. Stand up for me, rise up! For you are a mighty Lord. Send your Spirit to defend me.

In the name of Jesus, I reject the lies of the enemy that tells me all is lost. Instead, I take up my shield of faith and the blade that is God’s word.

Cast out the evil one, oh Lord! In Jesus name, send the influence of the enemy far from me.

By the blood of Christ I am saved. In his resurrection I am confident. In proclaiming the name of Jesus Christ I have courage. My life has meaning, value and joy.

In my heart there is only room for one King.

My Christ, my Savior, my Lord,

In the name of Jesus,

  1. I was accused of something serious that I had nothing to do with. Anxiety had a strong hold on my life and it left me to get closer to my God. Since then I’ve developed stronger relationship with my father and I have seen him working. I’ve seen the mercy and grace he’s given me but I still fall short in faith. I feel I need a intercessor.

  2. Hi,
I need your prayers in this matter. Years ago, (15 yrs ago), I use to live a life that was not pleasing to God and I said things that I shouldn’t have but today I now live my life for the Lord and have accepted my Ministry. Everywhere I go, people keep bringing up my past and will not let it go. When I tell them about my change in Christ they just laugh and say bad things, I even testified in Church about how I let the Lord come into my life and I am now saved, cleansed by his blood and spirit feel but the church members just stare as if I’m lying. I Will Not lie on the God almighty and be cruised to hell. Everybody is already making me feel like I am in hell. I feel so alone with no one really to talk to. When I do try to talk about it I just get the brush off as if nothing is wrong or people play dumb with me and I’m tired of that as well. The past is the past this I know but others seem to want let it stay there. I’ve been praying but have not received anything from the Lord yet, this is getting to hard for me, backsliding is not the answer I keep telling myself. I just need someone to pray for me without judgment and I have made mistakes that I am truly sorry for but I thought all people made mistakes? It seems I am the only one who wasn’t born Saved!

    • Dear Heathcliff… They laughed at Jesus too, so you are in good company. Remember, nobody else can give you the rest your soul seeks. Only God can do that. Rest in him, not in the reactions of others. Go to God and let him build your character. Let the Lord guide you in how to live your life testimony and don’t depend on the approval of people. Jesus found rest in communion with his Father. Seek that relationship with the Lord.

I will be praying for you!

  3. Please pray for me. I was accused of saying something to a co-worker at my school that is untrue. I didn’t say such comments, yet my job is in jeopardy. I have never been accused of any wrong doings before. I need my job, even so I will not be at the same school if they keep me. Please I need my job. Please pray for me. Thank you.

  4. I have had the most awful intrusive thoughts. I know they are not true, but they bring me so much stress and anxiety. I am useless during the day sometimes because the stress eats me away.

    • Oh Tina-Louise! I’m so thankful that you are better. Remember, your life is so valuable that Jesus came for you. Never, ever forget that. The whole history of the world and God’s Son are to show you the deepest love possible. It’s in your heart and soul. You are his child! Believe. Be restored. You are loved very, very much!

      God bless you Tina-Louise!

  5. Thank you. All my life I have exaggerated and overdramatized. Mainly to make my family laugh but it became a habit. Consequently like the boy who cried wolf no one could believe anything I said. I repent of it now, in Jesus’ name.
