Prayer against the lies you tell yourself

Are you your own worst enemy? Why do we sabotage ourselves so much? As if the world wasn’t negative enough, we add to the bad news.  We tell ourselves that we never do anything right, and we lose hope.

Sometimes just telling yourself that it’s not true isn’t enough. Sometimes you need more. In those dark moments, go back to the core of your faith. Even if everything is really going bad, never, ever give up your faith. Dig in and hold tight.

If you think you’ve lost your faith, think again. Look. It’s right there. Pick it up.

Just for an instant, block out all the clutter and noise. Forget about your situation and remember Christ on the cross for you. Open your heart and see the empty tomb. Be restored by the Spirit of God and believe again.

He who conquers, I will grant him to sit with me on my throne, as I myself conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne.

Revelation 3:21

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that in due time he may exalt you. Cast all your anxieties on him, for he cares about you. Be sober, be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking some one to devour. Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experience of suffering is required of your brotherhood throughout the world. And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, establish, and strengthen you. To him be the dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

1 Peter 5:6-11

  1. I request in the Lord Jesus Christ name for my adulterous husband to return to the Lord and to stop deceiving me financially and to give me the courage to leave if I can no longer bear the disrespect and pain of my broken faith in marriage I need the lords wisdom and light.

    • Praying for you and your situation Mary… may the Lord send you clarity and strength… may the Spirit convict your husband’s heart… may the mercy of Christ be poured out over you… in Jesus name, Amen.

I will keep praying for you!
