For any prayerful mom or dad, a lot of time is spent praying for your children — and for good reason. God brings children into our lives for us to teach, protect and care for them. Prayer is a big part of this.
As a parent, we also learn a lot about ourselves along the way, right? That’s why it’s important to pray for our own growth as parents when we pray for our kids. One of the best ways to teach them about faith is to let them see God at work in our lives.
So pray for your kids. Some changes may take years, but never give up hope. Stay faithful to them in prayer and service as God is faithful to you.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7
For still the vision awaits its time;
it hastens to the end—it will not lie.
If it seem slow, wait for it;
it will surely come, it will not delay.
Behold, he whose soul is not upright in him shall fail,
but the righteous shall live by his faith.Habakkuk 2:3-4
PRAYER FOR MY CHILDREN
O heavenly Lord,
You know my heart. You know me best, and you know how much I care for my children.
I thank you, O Lord, for their lives and their souls. Thank you for the gift of being a parent.
In the name of Jesus, I ask for your protection and guidance over my children. Keep them safe and healthy. May they grow in your wisdom, and may your mighty hand defend them against the enemy.
Show me how to truly love them without selfishness or fear.
May your Holy Spirit free them, heal them and bless them.
May your grace touch their hearts, so Christ becomes known to them as Lord and Savior.
I wait for you, O Lord. I trust in your promises, and I pray for my children in the name of Jesus,
Amen.
