Are you overwhelmed? Need a break?

In some situations, it might seem like there is no relief in sight.

There is only one place you can go and find true rest, guaranteed. In the Lord’s presence, your soul receives the fresh water it needs. If you count on yourself, other people or circumstances to give you rest, you’ll eventually be disappointed.

Instead, find your true rest in Jesus. Yes, you can ask for things to change. But don’t depend on the exterior to calm your heart. In any situation, your soul can rest in the peace that Christ gives.

Go to him and get refreshed. Find true rest in the Lord.

PRAYER FOR A BREAK FROM THE STRUGGLE (regular text)

Oh heavenly Lord,

I’m tired and wear. You know my struggles, my pain. So here in your presence I just want to take a break. I’m not asking for a perfect life Just some relief from the burden.

Even if it’s just more of you giving strength to my weary soul.

Here, now, I rest in you as you are my hope and salvation.

Yes, Lord, I know I can ask for you to change things, but if I must change first, help me.

I can’t do it alone.

You are the Almighty Lord, Creator of heaven and earth. I bow down to your will and invoke your Holy Spirit to take control of my life.

Renew me, restore me, and if it be your will, relieve my burden.

Give me courage and patience. Let your mercy be my guide. Give me peace in Christ.

By your grace alone. In Jesus name,
