WOW this is such a powerful prayer and I REALLY needed this! I plan to copy and read this prayer everyday. I’ve literally been been feeling so broken and I know without a doubt it was meant for me to find this and focus on it and know God is going to get me through this situation I’m having to deal with every day. I’m going to focus on putting my Faith and Trust in God’s word through this prayer. THANK YOU so much for posting this! I do believe in Jesus. I just feel what I have done in my past was so bad I find it hard for me to forgive myself. So, why she Jesus or His Father forgive me. I am now 71 and feel I need to except what I have done and know that I should just deal with it. After all, Jesus suffered for my sins, so why should He do anything else.
Oh Dear Kathy… Your past is not you. Your actions are not your identity. You must forgive yourself. Imagine someone gave you a very special birthday gift. Would you refuse it? Would you say, “Well you already spent the money. That’s enough.” No… you would accept it thankfully, right? Do the same with the forgiveness of God. Ask for forgiveness. Forgive yourself. Receive his forgiveness. Let the Lord free and heal you. HE IS LOVE. God can only love you. Don’t push him away. Instead, let him embrace you!
