Sometimes we grow distant. Sometimes we stray. But the Lord is always there to take us back. Return to him. Be healthy. Be free.

Prayer to open up to the Lord

O loving Lord,

Maybe I’ve been wounded, or maybe it’s just pride, but sometimes I shut you out of my life and my heart.

Why does this happen?

Why to I run away when I know you are all that is good and healthy for me?

I call to you Lord! I cry out!

Break down the obstacles, tear down the walls,

silence the enemy that tells me that I am all alone.

Lead me by the hand, O Lord.

Guide me to that spacious place of deeper trust in you.

For in your presence, I find peace, I find purpose,

I find the everlasting love of Christ Jesus who gives me all I need.

Show me the way, O merciful Lord, to open myself up fully and humbly

to your loving grace.
