But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.

  1. I need to learn how to pray for my daugther Keila. She ran away from home. It’s been a month and I need to learn to know how to wait on the Lord and have patience and have joy in all of this painful situation.
I know the Lord is on my side but my human heart is breaking apart.
I also need to learn how to pray for the rest of the family. We all love Keila but her brothers are angry at her but this wrong decision.
I just need to feel God.

    • Dear Cynthia… What you wrote in your comment is a wonderful prayer! What your heart says is your prayer. Don’t be worried about words. Let the Spirit guide you. Just say what you feel and desire as openly as possible to God. Pray out loud. Cry out to him. He’s always listening. Then sit in silence for a moment to see if God has something to say to you.

Read the Psalms. They’re our best biblical examples of prayer. Let them guide you to communicate with God.

I’ll be praying for your family and your daughter’s safe return. God bless you!
