If there’s anything we pray for, it’s for our family. No other place brings as much joy and pain to us. What are the reasons behind this?
First of all, the family is the source of life. We all have a mother and father. If you were brought up by relatives or adopted parents, they also provided for you. Even in the most difficult families, there is life.
Still, we often hurt the one’s we care for the most. Maybe it’s because we are tired, and we let our guard down. Or maybe it’s because we trust in our loved ones. We feel that they will still love us even when we don’t behave so well. We trust in love.
The family can be an abundant source of love. When you are sick or in need, family shows up. In the toughest moments, families often come together. In many families, the abundance of generosity and love is astounding.
Still, we can also observe great hurt and betrayal within families. It would be unrealistic to think that any family is perfect, and some live with much pain.
And many times, the greatest acts of forgiveness occur in families. This is the message of Jesus — forgive and be forgiven.
Pray for your family in the tough times
If we think about Christ on the cross, it helps us to understand our family struggles. That moment of great pain and suffering was also the doorway to salvation. When we suffer and serve our family, the greatness of God’s love shines through. Remember this in the trials your family faces.
Seek God’s promises for your family. Ask the Lord to reveal them to you. Pray upon his promises. Get strength and peace from them. It may take days, months or years — but even a lifetime is worth the life and love that comes from your family.
Love is patient and kind; love is not jealous or boastful; it is not arrogant or rude. Love does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrong, but rejoices in the right. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7
PRAYER FOR MY FAMILY
Oh loving Lord,
Do you see my family? Do you see how we have struggled? Do you see how we have hurt? Even each other. Pain going back, for generations.
So right here, right now, in your presence, I claim the promises you set forth for me and my family. Not a perfect family, that never suffers, that never bleeds – but a family united in LOVE, in Spirit and in Truth.
This can only come by your grace. Oh loving Lord, pour yourself out upon us. Wash us clean again. Reach down. Restore us.
Through your mercy, through your love.

Prayer For Anxiety 
I pray in the name of Jesus Christ for peace in my family life. My boyfriend (father of my kids 15 & 6) and I have been in cohabitation. I don’t want this situation anymore. I have prayed so hard for things to change. I love my family, I love united, I love peace. And I know God’s promises are true. I am hurting from this ups and downs in my home & relationship.
I pray for my family to be rooted in your love my Lord. I pray for change. I pray that God unblocks & opens up His mercy upon us.
Have mercy oh Lord. Have mercy in Jesus Christ mighty name
O merciful Lord… send your grace and blessings to Lerato, her boyfriend their children… heal them and unite them in your grace… accept Lerato’s cry… let them be united in the heart of Christ fully, and let their union be made holy… guide Lerato during this time to seek you and trust you… give her patience, strength and wisdom… bring a change to the entire family through faith and your eternal blessings, O loving Lord… in Jesus name, Amen.

I need prayers for my family to stick together and love one another again. My marriage is down on the ground and it seems as if my wife will never love me or have strong feelings she once had for me. I was retrenched in 2016 October and gradually lost everything we owned one by one, from the house in 2019 to the cars then furniture. We are now living below the bread line, hand to mouth stuff and relying on good Samaritans to be touched by God’s Spirit to give us whatever they have. I’m praying that our three kids (Aphiwe 19, Lunga 16 and Thando 8) be covered and protected under the blood of Jesus. In Jesus’s mighty and precious name!

Hello I’m asking for prayer for my family I been going threw a lot these past three months my husband just one day randomly left me and never came back home we have 3 kids together my almost 18 year old took it very hard that he also left me I feel like my son is blaming me for what had happened my 2 little girls 10 and 8 years old miss their dad dearly these past 3 month has been The worthless day of life I don’t know what do any more my 10 years old understand a little bite and at time she has Break downs were she sometimes feels like she has fault for what had happened she cry’s to me and tells and tells me I’m sorry mom for everything that happened and she blames her self I tell her it’s not her fault but I feel it’s not strong enough to make her feel better she tells me all she wants is her family back together it really breaks my heart to see to see her go through that my 8 year old she’s daddy little girl her and her dad we’re really close to each other and now that her dad is not around she feels it especially on nights when it’s time for bed time we’re she will sleep closer to her dad and her dad will always wrap him arms around her and hug her sometime she had break downs and tells me she misses her daddy a lot I feel soo hopeless and lost with out my husband I don’t know what to do I feel lost I feel I failed my kids I feel like I’m not physical strong I have breakdowns I cry a lot I get a lot of anxiety attacks I’m going threw depression I feel lonely my heart is broken into pieces I blame myself for everything that’s going on sometimes I think stuff in my mind that I don’t want to think about I don’t want to leave my kids by there self I try to be strong but I’m not it breaks my heart to see my kids suffer and I wish I could fix everything and go back to normal and have my family back together like my little girls say all I want is my family back please pray for me for my husband and my kids more for my husband and my son that they both randomly left my side I’m asking for prayer to given me peace in my mind and in my heart to give me strength to go on through life I’m asking prayer to give me strength to be strong for my two little girls because at this moment I feel like I’m not strong enough please pray for me as I’m going through this difficult time pray for my marriage for my husband Alfredo and my son Jose for my two little girls Yanelli and Leslie and also for me

What a difficult situation. It’s so sad, especially the part about your young ones. I’m so sorry you are going through all this.
In these complex, painful moments, sometimes the only thing that gives us peace is to know Jesus Christ also suffered deeply. He suffered his wounds for all of us. And in some deep way, you can identify with something very, very sacred when you give up your pain to God the Father. You can identify with God’s Son.
I know this doesn’t make your situation any easier, but it may give you some meaning to hold onto during this time.
And remember, stay hopeful against all hope. You and your family are worth it! Don’t ever give up on them or yourself. Ask the Lord to give you the healing and strength to carry on. Also, reach out to your local church community for help and support. Surround yourself with as much kindness as you can.

What you are going through is so hard, my heart aches for you and especially your little ones, Yanelli and Leslie. They can’t understand what or why this has happened in their little minds, in fact we as adults don’t always have the answer to the “why did this happen” of life’s journey. What I do know is God is with you, walking along side you every day. His Word promises to us, that love God “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28
Not just some things, or only the “easy” things but ALL things. He will work all this out in your life and the life of your children for GOOD. Fill Lucy with Your perfect peace, give her strength to walk this road she is on marked with suffering and strength to physically and spiritually care for her little girls. Lord I pray over Lucy and her family. Loss and uncertainties are difficult to process as we all look for blames to be able to some control and understanding to a situation. I pray for healing of minds and hearts I pray for love to be strong in e family.
