  6. Please pray for me. I am having a hard time dealing with a break up after 10 years I have had no contact with the person because of their choice. We have had a turmultuos relationship for the last 3 years. I have a bad temper and so does he. We have not gotten physical with each other but he has gotten angry in the past and on one occasion we had an argument I said some ugly things about his mother, because I know that’s who he was upset with in the beginning. He had been drinking and I called the police. He was arrested for DUI. Since then he blames me for everything he has gone through. His mom tells him he would be better off without me and that we should split because of our chaotic relationship. The last event happened because I can’t deal with his hidden relationship with his ex wife. He says it’s nothing but I feel like she is sneaky and has another agenda. They don’t have children together so why doesn’t she just move on. His mom encourages her behavior and tells him she will always be his wife. Even though they are divorced. I feel disrespected and very hurt. I cannot put all the blame on him. I get angry I curse I act out. I do know God but it’s like bi feel this is not workable. There are too many people in our lives with opinions. My counselor says the relationship is unhealthy for me. But I remember the 5 to 6 years we weren’t in this shape. I feel I have lost him. Because I told him to leave out of my life. And he feels as though I threw him away. I would like to began to pray again. I would like to see God work in our relationship like he did before. I love this man with everything I have. I am sick with grief over this relationship being over. Please pray for my strength and for God to show up and bring calmness and peace back into our relationship. This man is a good man we have very strong ties with each other. He has severed communication with me. He says it just can’t be. It has been a month and I need calmness in my mind and body to function

    • Dear Drey – It’s not about what anybody else wants or their opinions. It’s not even about what you want. It’s about what God wants for you. It might mean you should be together with this man, or it might not. Seek Gods’ truth only.
May the Lord bring you freedom, healing, and peace. May you seek and know his will. May the blood of his salvation show you the way. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
