I Thank you already for devoting your time to read the following prayer request:
I’m an adult man who has been struggling with intrusive thoughts, ocd, and severe anxiety in the last 7 years of his life. Some of these thoughts and the emotional anxiety which comes with it is often times so severe that it drains away all movitation, life happines and self confidence from me and it makes me feel powerless and emotionaly broken. I ask you kindly to pray for freedom and deliverance of anxiety, intrusive thoughts and ocd. This would help me forward to make the decisions I need to make in my life and to become a man who resides and abides in God.

I am so sorry you have been struggling with these things. Anxiety is a terrible robber of our energy, motivation, happiness and peace. And like you said, just dealing with it leaves us feeling powerless and broken. I’ve struggled with fear and anxiety in my life, so I know how crippling it can be.
I certainly will pray for you David that God will deliver you from the OCD, intrusive thoughts and anxiety. All power is in His hands and I know He is more than able and wants to set you free from what binds you!
What I have experienced in my life that to find freedom you have to want it with all your heart, and instead of being delivered in an instant, it is walking out of it (with Jesus) one step at a time. He will meet you in the midst of your trouble. In ourselves we are all powerless, but the good news is that He is not! When we belong to Him, He promises us “God did not give us a spirit of fear. He gave us a spirit of power and of love and of a good mind” 2 Timothy 1:7.
We have to choose to trust God, it is the Lord Himself who is our salvation, strength and defense.
I want to encourage you to spend some time sifting through or curating your thought life. We must let God transform us in the way we think. One of the best ways to become a new person –
is by saturating our minds and hearts with things that build us up spiritually: reading and studying the Bible, praising and worshiping God, and spending time with other believers.
“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.” Romans 12:2,
The Apostle Paul tells us “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Philippians 4:8 It is necessary to read and meditate on Scripture and nourish our minds with the things of God. While we are doing that, we should be actively weeding out anything that is not “true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, or praiseworthy.” This process isn’t difficult, but it does require discipline.

Lord heal David from the destructiveness of OCD, negative or intrusive thoughts and anxiety that hold him back from Your best for him in the name of Jesus.
Fill him with Your perfect peace Lord and help him keep his mind focused on You “You will keep him in perfect peace,
Whose mind is stayed on You,Because he trusts in You”
Isaiah 26:3. Calm his anxious thoughts and anxiety-giving him clarity and strength.
You alone Jesus-know all the hurt and broken places in David’s heart. Bring healing and wholeness to it. No one can touch his heart like You can.
Thank you Lord that You are able to save and deliver us. In You
we can find rest, safety, security and peace. Help David feel Your loving presence, comforting him and guiding him in the way You would have him go. Bringing relief and joy into his life. Your Word tells us “Give your burdens to the Lord, and He will take care of you. He will not permit the godly to slip and fall Psalm 55:22. Help him to always remember to come to You, when he feels overwhelmed, confused or powerless. Thank you that You have promised to never leave or forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:8). Thank you for Your mercy, compassion, and the loving kindness You show Your children and thank you Father for hearing and answering our prayers. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

Family please pray as life has taken dramatic turns this week having huge implications, and safety threatened. But what the devil wants to harm us with God will turn for good. I pray for continued faith in him, pray for protection, and that all the difficult practicalities will be sorted, and provide all that I needed. I give thanks for how he has worked and the support given to me when needed.

I’ve been trying to avoid asking for prayer. I think others need it more. But I am completely overwhelmed. I bought a flat recently and it’s filled with problems, leaks, gas issues, floor and cupboard collapsing. I’m having to have everything fixed using the savings I have left. I guess I was desperate when I bough the place because it was cheap and I am in the middle of a divorce and my ex wants me out of the current place. I’ve been putting up with his emotional abuse still. I had a breakdown the other day because he kept harassing me while I try to work from home. Everything he blames me for. On top of this the neighbours at the new place are harassing me. I was polite and gave notice work would be done and apologised for the noise. Still they do not understand. I’m getting text at night now and they have even opened my re-directed mail. I’m so fed up and I have not seen my family since Christmas 2019. Friends are non existent, at least the ones who are local. My job is also quite frustrating. I didn’t want to ask for prayer because I don’t want to sounds like a complainer. I am grateful I have a place, I am grateful my savings can help to fix the problems of the flat, I am grateful for a job and that my family although far away are safe and healthy. But I am so sad and lonely and just really really fed up. Because I keep trying and I keep praying and I keep trying to remain positive but I feel like every thing is my life is one bad decision after the other even though I always ask for God’s guidance. What am I doing wrong.?
You are always deserving of prayer nothing is ever too small to bring to God so please don’t let feelings of unworthiness come. You are worthy you are a child of God and loved by him just as much as anyone or any situation.
I pray for strength in your difficulties. I pray that the lord will lift you above all the attacks from your ex and neighbours. Keep pushing forward in your new beginnings and future. Trust and rely in the lord to provide and protect. Let the spirit guide and comfort you,

I so glad you stopped by! Please know that you are always welcome here. Asking for prayer is never, ever wrong. It is our honor to prayer for you. We all need to pray and ask for prayer, His Word tells us “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” Philippians 4:6
We need to feel connected to God and each other, by coming here and reaching out like you did is what God wants you to do. The Bible encourages us to pray for one another (James 5:16), it’s God’s will for us all.
Life can be very hard and you have had to go through something that is very difficult. If going through the divorce wasn’t hard enough, you’ve had to deal with a new place with problems, work frustrations and new neighbors that are harassing you, an ex doing the same…I would have a melt down to! It is a lot to deal with, and I’m sorry you have had to go through this. Being isolated from family is very difficult 😔
Praying and asking for His guidance is absolutely the right thing to do, and you’re not doing anything wrong, but when we do not see the answers to our prayers, or when bad things keep happening we can feel like; God isn’t hearing us, or that we must be doing something wrong.
But the truth is; it is in God’s timing. He is working it out and we can’t always see all that is going on behind the scenes so to speak, or how we may need to grow in faith. His timing really is perfect and He always wants what is best for us, sometimes that means waiting for the answer to our prayer.
The Bible tells us when we draw close to God, He will draw near to us (James 4:8). He wants you to know Him, and prayer is one way. Pouring your heart out to Him is so important. The Bible tells us over and over again how important prayer is.
God loves us and also wants us to have a close and loving relationship with Him, He wants us to know Him. For myself I went through a rough time after my husband had cancer. I became very fearful, depressed and anxious. I then lost a friend who I had known since I was a teenager and I really felt alone. I prayed and prayer but felt that God had left me. But the truth was, I had left Him. I wasn’t spending time with Him, I hadn’t been for years. So, I earnestly began to seek Him. I started reading in my Bible every day, listened to praise and worship music and began to praise and worship Him. I set aside time each day to spend with the Lord. Reading His Word began to increase my faith, it gave me strength and hope. I found out that God speaks most often to us through His Word. By praising Him (this was hard for me at first, I mostly cried the first few times I did it) my fears, sadness, loneliness began to be replaced by joy…I actually began to feel happiness, something I hadn’t felt for some time.
It didn’t happen overnight, it was a process for me.
I will keep you in my prayers. Remember, and He is bigger than any problem or circumstance we could have. This “wilderness” place you’re in -won’t last forever. Keep near to Him, keep seeking Him and keep praying. God does hear your prayers, He will answer them❤️.
Lord I pray for Your child. Fill her with Your perfect peace, comfort her and help her to feel Your loving presence. Give her godly wisdom and clarity enabling her to make good decisions and choices. Guide and protect her as she deals with all the responsibilities of her new flat, her work and neighbors. Soften their hearts and help them to feel compassion and patience with the work that needs to be done. Jesus, You alone know all the places in her heart that are broken and hurt. Bring healing and wholeness to it. I pray for the relationship with her ex that his heart would be softened, and that there would be peace and support between the two of them. May they both have hearts that can forgive each other and desire to a,ways walk in Your ways Lord. Open the door for Anonymous to spend time with her family. Bring new people into her life that will be a blessing and encouragement to her. Thank you Father for your mercy, love and compassion that You have for Your children and thank you for hearing and answering our prayers. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

Hello to all of you. I have missed you so much and pray for you often. I would like to ask for the same prayer as always, that my boys will come back into my life and we will be together again. I have my daughter and she is sad and misses her brothers too. Please pray as you feel led. It has been close to 5 yrs now. May God soften the hearts of my boys and release them from the enemy’s lies and strongholds. God can move mountains. In Jesus’ name.

It’s so good to hear from you, but I’m sorry to hear that your sons are still not in your life…at least not in the way you want them to be. My heart goes out to you and I can sympathize as I have one son and our relationship is not an easy or a close one. I will keep you in my prayers dear heart. Lord I pray that You would soften the hearts of Suzanne’s son’s hearts. May the desire to know You, Jesus begin to grow in them. Remove people that are a bad influence and ungodly in their lives. Open their eyes to see Your truth. I pray that no weapon formed against them would prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Bring healing for the places that are broken and hurt in them and help them to have forgiving hearts. Fill Suzanne with Your perfect peace. Give her strength and help her to not grow weary in doing good, for if she does not give up she will reap a harvest (Galatians 6:9). I pray that You would bring comfort to her and her daughter.
